Racial Injustice
Ricardo and Mark have become friends while taking a sociology class. The two men work together in a learning team and spend time studying after class to improve their performance on tests. Part of doing well in class is through participation and answering questions as asked the teacher.
After a couple of weeks in the class, Ricardo begins to recognize that the teacher does not call on him when he raises his hand in class. In discussions, the teacher makes uncomfortable racial remarks. While their grammar is not the same, Ricardo and Mark give the same answers on a test, yet, the instructor gives Ricardo a low grade.
